Hi . meet you again this monday with another young new start up who has the drive and passion in making it big in the business that she started.

Such a strong person with commitment in what she does. Lets hear from her what she have to say to all of us in this interview.

What kind of business do you have? What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

Homemade Pleasures is my primary business, providing a 1 stop homemade goodies for festive occasion or any special events, ranging from cookies, cakes & dessert.
My passion in baking & cooking has inspired me to be an entrepreneur.

Did you need to have a certain mindset to achieve success?

Yeah, of course. This is so important. I am always thinking positive & always believe that I’ll be my own boss one day. One has to have a never-give-up spirit to achieve success. To me, success is a wonderful journey and I cherish every moment of the journey.

Have you noticed certain advantages to being an entrepreneur?

TIME & FREEDOM. That’s the advantage. Time to do the things that I like & enjoy. Freedom to do whatever I enjoy.

Is it difficult to get financing for businesses? If so why and are there any solutions?

I m not very sure about this. At the moment, my business is operating from home, thus that made me a homebizpreneur. I do dream of having a proper business, like having an industrial kitchen to tap to large market needs. Abg Abu, I need your help in this area…ok?

Did you have a mentor to help you get started?

When I 1st start, my motivator is my mom. She has always been encouraging me. My close frens has also give me their full support.

Approximately how much money did you invest before your business became profitable?

Not much. I m operating from home. An oven, a cake mixer & some cooking utensils, that total up to around $2,000.00

What resources were most helpful to you when you were starting your business?

Recipe books, online catering websites, food magazines

What ways have you found to be most effective in marketing your product or service to get sales?

At this moment, email & multiply website and also word of mouth.

What tips can you give others who want to embrace their dream but, don’t have the confidence or feel they don’t have what it takes to succeed?

I love this question. Attend MAP untuk KAYA programme!! I am a product of it. Mingle with successful people. Change mind set. Be positive to the maximum level. Keep on telling yourself that being successful & debt free is the best thing on earth.

How do you manage juggling the responsibilities of being a entrepreneur?

Its tough when I first start but once I see the fruits of it I enjoyed it. Its all in the mind. All of us have 24hrs a day. What I did is just managing my time well.

What’s next for you?

The cash flow quadrant, I m now in the E & S quadrant. I want to move into the B & I quadrant and I believe that this is POSSIBLE!!!
