It is not a matter of we are new in business. Infact the more new you are the better as you can adopt to the new business requirements as well new demands of business today.

Most of the time , the longer the business it will take more time to change. So it is better when you are still new that you can adopt new changes. AbangAbu would like to introduce another entrepreneur who feel that she is new. However for AbangAbu, new or experience entrepreneurs , we still can learn many things. Infact AbangAbu learn so many things from new start up entrepreneurs.

1)What kind of business do you have? What inspired you to become an Entrepreneur business owner?

I’m very passionate about baking and it gives me the satisfaction baking for people, to see their glowing eyes of love. My 5 kids are my inspiration…they love to eat cakes/biscuits, especially those containing Chocolates eg, Heavenly Tiramisu & Brownie Cheesecake. I’ve decided that since my kids love my baking….and moreover as we need extra cash for their education etc, it’s time for me to start my entrepreneur journey.

2)Did you need to have a certain mindset to achieve success?

Yes, I want my kids to lead a better life in the future.

3)Have you noticed certain advantages to being an entrepreneur business owner?

Firstly I’ve noticed my eldest daughter also started to show interest in entrepreurship. She started to sell some accessories to her friends and also started to bake cookies etc. and sell to some of her friends. In a way, I’ve instilled some influence on my daughter to become an entrepreneur, because she ever told me that she wants to own a company one day. Ameen.

Secondly, I can plan my schedule between business and family.

4)Did you have a mentor to help you get started?

Roszilah M Nor. She’s my first baking mentor and she continuously gives me support to lead my journey to become an entrepreneur.

5)Approximately how much money did you invest before your business became profitable?

$5,000 invested on classes, baking equipments etc.

6)What ways have you found to be most effective in marketing your product or service to get sales?

Luckily we have Facebook now…an effective tool of marketing and not forgetting through recommendation from family and friends.

7)What tips can you give others who want to embrace their dream but, don’t have the confidence or feel they don’t have what it takes to succeed?

Find your passion, then take the FIRST STEP, BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN DO IT & TAWAKKAL.

8)What’s next for you?
I believe in lifetime learning. I aim to take up Diploma in Baking and hopefully to have my own cafe ala “Secret Recipe”. WOW!
