This week Entrepreneur

Hi again.

Today AbangAbu would love to introduce to a very different entrepreneur whom turn his hobbies into a promising business venture with great potential of growth. His business would attract all the kids as well teens and even adults like me.

It is a great sharing for those who have interesting hobbies that can be turned into an exciting business .

SO I WANT TO INTRODUCE TO YOU MR ZEESHAUN SHEIKH.

Heres the interview:

1)What kind of business do you have? What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?
I own a skateboard shop. We deal in skateboard accessories, apparels and also provide skate lessons to beginners. What inspired me is the fact that I get to be involved in the
industry that I really love and also I’ve always wanted to run my own show and be my own boss.

2)Did you need to have a certain mindset to achieve success?
Yes, basically you need to have that “never give up” and “never say die” mindset. And also always look at the positive side of things.

3)Have you noticed certain advantages to being an entrepreneur?
Yes, definitely. The main advantage is that its OTOT(own time own target) most of the time.

4)Is it difficult to get financing for businesses? If so why and are there any solutions?
I had to save up for 5 years, so I guess it is difficult cos you need to have a high self-discipline.  But you need to persevere and you’ll get there.

5)Did you have a mentor to help you get started?
Yes. My dad has his own restaurant business and he has given me some good tips and advises.

6)Approximately how much money did you invest before your business became profitable?
Probably somewhere between $10,000 to $15,000.

7)What resources were most helpful to you when you were starting your business?
The internet is the number 1 resource that you can get any info. And  from people whom have done it before helps too.

8)What ways have you found to be most effective in marketing your product or service to get sales?
Again the internet is one of the best places to do marketing and plus it’s cheaper than anything else. We also give out flyers and stickers to promote the shop.

9)What tips can you give others who want to embrace their dream but, don’t have the confidence or feel they don’t have what it takes to succeed?
I would say if you have an idea but not really confident to jump into it yet then you do more research and also try to find some ways to make it really innovative/creative. You don’t really need to have lots of money start out with. As long as you believe in it, you’ll make it one day.

10)How do you manage juggling the responsibilities of being a entrepreneur?
Luckily for me, I have family and friends who help out a lot and I’m really thankful. Time management is really important in being an entrepreneur.

11)What’s next for you?
Probably open another shop that is bigger.
